Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy’s divorce is heating up

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy’s divorce is “heating up.” Jason Hoppy claims that Bethenny Frankel is neglecting her daughter and is a “bad mother.” The charges lodged against Frankel by Jason claim that Frankel is less interested in the demands of motherhood and more interested in promoting her talk show.

According to reports, Jason Hoppy has indicated in official court documents that Bethenny Frankel’s attention is divided and too focused on her career rather than parenting their daughter. Bethenny claims, however, that Hoppy will use any ammunition he can to get custody of Bryn in divorce court.

One recent incident had their daughter, Bryn, locking herself in the bathroom on the set of Bethenny’s talk show and firemen intervening to get her out- all the while Brynn cried hysterically.

The couple is also said to have engaged in what some call “epic arguments” after a divorce court hearing. Names that the couple has tossed around include derogatory statements Bethenny Frankel used to describe her soon to be ex-husband such as lazy and stupid because he doesn’t have a full-time job, words that were used apparently in front of their daughter, a big divorce no-no.

down in front of Bryn. Now that Bethenny has been so nasty, Hoppy believes she is not “playing by the same rules.”

Jason Hoppy won’t move out of house with Bethenny Frankel

Apparently part of the problem is Jason refuses to move out of their apartment. He claims he wants to be close to his daughter, which many applaud given that many fathers shirk their responsibility of parenthood. Although Frankel has declared this move indicates nothing but stubbornness and makes it difficult for the two of them to move on.

The couple is also fighting about the opportunity for Bryn to appear on Frankel’s upcoming talk show, an opportunity Hoppy is not excited about. This decision has forced Frankel to film in her bedroom rather than the common spaces of their New York home.  Hoppy has argued that Bryn should not be in the audience or do pre-taped segments for the show. According to one source, “He just doesn’t feel that their daughter should be on display on Bethenny’s talk show.”

These issues will have to be addressed before the court decides on the custody arrangement for their daughter.

The marriage didn’t last long

Given all the hype and preparation of for the wedding, which was documented on a March 2010 reality show “Bethenny Getting Married,” the pair found their marriage imploding by January 2013, when they filed for divorce. Bethenny Frankel is 42 and her husband is a 41 year-old pharmaceutical sales executive.

Bethenny Frankel claims divorce is “the most difficult thing you could ever go through in your entire life.” Bethenny Frankel admits no one ever told her how “excruciating it is.” Bethenny Frankel claims that she and Hoppy will continue to “show love and respect for each other” and “continue to amicably co-parent their daughter.”
